Hummingbirds in Flight and the Great Hocking Hills Expedition

We returned last night from a few days rest, relaxation, and hiking down in the Hocking Hills area and brought home many photographs. The weather cooperated for the most part, and even when it was raining, we were still able to watch the birds and animals scurry about in the rain. My wife, dog and I sat for hours watching the humming birds buzz all over the place, feeding from the flowers and feeders that we have for them.  It is truly amazing how this bird moves about. At times there would be five or six of them feeding and buzzing around. There was even the occasional startled scream of my wife has two, while in playful flight, happened to buzz by my wife’s head.

Over the course of a few days I got quite a few photographs of these birds. Some good, some blurred, and sometimes they weren’t even in the shot due to moving so fast. These are four that I finished up last night after unpacking.
